Grant DuBose Taken Out After Huge Hit | 2024 Dolphins vs. Texans
Miami Dolphins
wide receiver Grant DuBose will remain in a Houston hospital overnight after
suffering a severe helmet-to-helmet hit during the team's 20-12 loss to the
Texans. The collision left DuBose motionless on the field, requiring over 10
minutes of on-field medical attention.
The incident
occurred in the third quarter when DuBose was struck by rookie Calen Bullock
while attempting a catch. After the hit, DuBose’s head struck the turf, and his
clenched fists signaled the seriousness of the injury. Emergency personnel
quickly tended to him, cutting off his jersey and applying a neck brace before
transporting him off the field.
The
Dolphins' sideline gathered in a circle for a prayer, visibly shaken by the
scene, with head coach Mike McDaniel appearing emotional.
“It was very
unfortunate and tough to see live,” said quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. “I’m my
toughest critic when it comes to ball placement, and I feel bad for putting him
in that situation. It was hard to keep going after witnessing that.”
