Although the main programme is set to commence at 3:00pm, hundreds began arriving at Suhrawardy Udyan through all its entrances from early in the morning.
The "March for Gaza" is being organised to protest the brutal assaults and killings carried out by the occupying forces of Israel, and to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people.
The event is expected to continue until the Maghrib prayer today.

Groups of people from different parts of the city have been seen marching toward the venue from areas such as Shahbagh, Doel Chattar, and Nilkhet. Many participants are carrying the national flags of both Bangladesh and Palestine.
Conversations with attendees reveal that the primary goal of this mass gathering is to raise global awareness and build international public opinion against the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, while also appealing to humanitarian sentiment.

Organisers have stated that this will be the largest pro-Palestine rally ever held in Dhaka, and they are calling on individuals from all political and ideological backgrounds to participate.
Muhammad Abdul Malek, the Khatib of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, is expected to lead the gathering.

There has been a minor change to the original plan for the event. Initially, a procession was to take place from Shahbagh to Manik Mia Avenue. However, the updated decision now keeps the entire programme confined within Suhrawardy Udyan from 3:00pm onward, with no procession toward Manik Mia Avenue.
